Privacy policy
FinCalc is a financial calculator available as a web app and in preparation for iPhone and Android stores. Calculations run on your device. We do not operate a FinCalc account service or receive your calculator inputs, results, history, saved scenarios, or scenario titles. FinCalc has no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK.
Information stored on your device
FinCalc stores your calculation history, bookmarked scenarios, calculator memory, preferences, and recently retrieved exchange rates locally. The mobile app uses operating-system app storage; the web calculator at /calculate uses this browser's local storage. FinCalc does not separately encrypt either store. Avoid entering account numbers or other sensitive identifiers in scenario titles. Device or browser backups may include local data; those backups are managed by your platform, not by FinCalc. Data does not automatically sync between browsers or devices.
Use Settings → Delete all local data in FinCalc to remove its locally stored data. On the web, you can also clear this site's data in your browser. Uninstalling the mobile app removes its local app storage, subject to any device backups you control.
Currency converter
The separate currency converter requests a dated reference rate from Frankfurter over HTTPS. The request contains the two currency codes; the amount you enter is not sent. The returned rate and date may be cached on your device for offline reference. Frankfurter states that its public API does not collect or log personal data, IP addresses, or request URLs and uses aggregate traffic statistics. Exchange rates are informational estimates, not live trading quotes.
Choosing a currency for a saved calculator result changes its displayed label only. It does not convert that result.
Sharing and external links
A calculation summary leaves FinCalc only when you choose the system share action and select a destination. The destination app's privacy practices then apply. About links open external websites only when you tap them.
This website
The landing, privacy, terms, and support pages have no account or form. The web calculator runs application JavaScript in your browser and stores its data locally as described above. Neither the site nor calculator includes advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts. If you email us, your message and address are handled through your email provider and our support inbox so we can reply. Hosting services may process technical request information needed to deliver the site; we do not use it to build visitor profiles.
Changes and questions
